The sulphurous evening of Givenchy interdict

The perfume Givenchy The ban was originally founded in 1957. Today, it reinvents itself and speaks to a new generation of women. The ban of 2018 is a tribute to daring femininity. He invites us to go beyond conventions and assume our uniqueness and elegance. This floral and woody digest is already accompanied by a whole new publicity. Focus on the first images of this television clip.

The interdict, a long-standing scent story

The interdict is a fragrance that was originally designed as a tribute to Audrey Hepburn. The actress was Hubert de Givenchy’s muse. So he decided to give her a personal perfume. It was only a few years later that he decided to make his fragrance public, which annoyed the talented actress in passing. She answered him at the time: “I forbid you”! This is where the name of this essence comes from… Today, the interdict is totally reinventing itself and is intended for women today.

When Audrey Hepburn gives way to Rooney Mara

Audrey Hepburn was finally, in the last century, the face of Givenchy’s L’Indit perfume. Today, Audrey Hepburn gives way to a new face: that of Rooney Mara. A talented New York actress, she distinguished herself above all in her role as Lisbeth Salander in Millenium: The Men Who Didn’t Like Women, the film adaptation of Stieg Larsson’s novel. Rooney Mara is also famous for playing Mary Magdalene in the movies. Today, a whole new page in her acting history is being written. Rooney Mara confides in recognizing himself in this perfume as well as in the history of Audrey Hepburn. She also adds that the interdict represents for her “a mixture of contrasting sensations: it is solar and dark at the same time. And I’m drawn to his name too, who questions what is or is not allowed, which encourages freedom. And then, its bouquet – jasmine, patchouli… – awakens in me memories of travel and of the globetrotter that I was: at 17, I left alone to cross South America.

The forbidden evening of Givenchy

The advertisement for Givenchy’s interdict first plunges us into a worldly atmosphere, on a Parisian balcony. Then, Rooney Mara decides to leave this sanitized atmosphere, taking for only companion his bottle of The Interdiction. From there, the pretty brunette takes us with her in the corridors of the Parisian metro, and more exactly to the Porte des Lilas station, which this time seems totally disaffected. Colorful neon lights guide us to a secret evening. Rooney Mara enters this illicit place without telling us anything about what is behind this door. She does not come out of the metro until the early hours of the morning. What happened ? No one really knows… Everything was directed by Todd Haynes and is played on the musical tracks “Berlin By Overnight” by Max Richter and “Deceive” by Trentemøller.
